Today, we celebrate not just another birthday, but a remarkable scholar, researcher, author, administrator and nation-builder whose intellectual journey continues to make a difference.
Happy birthday, Dr. Ernest Jebolise Chukwuka!
Some people occupy offices; others bring meaning to the offices they occupy. Some people conduct research; others use knowledge to search for solutions to the problems confronting society. Dr. Chukwuka belongs to the latter category.
With more than 15 years of scholarly experience, over 100 publications in Scopus-indexed and other reputable peer-reviewed journals, several research grants, extensive editorial and peer-review experience, and recognition as one of the most cited researchers at the University of Delta, Agbor, his academic journey is one worthy of celebration.
His recognition in the 2026 Webometrics World Academic Ranking as the best researcher at UNIDEL is another remarkable milestone in a career that continues to gather momentum.
But beyond the impressive numbers and academic titles is a man with a deep commitment to knowledge.
As a bestselling author whose books have found their way to Amazon readers, Managing Editor of the UNIDEL Journal of Management Sciences and a scholar who has served as a reviewer for reputable international journals, Dr. Chukwuka has consistently demonstrated that scholarship is not merely about acquiring knowledge but about contributing something meaningful to the body of knowledge.
His professional journey is equally impressive.
With a PhD in Management, specialising in Entrepreneurial Management, from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, alongside professional qualifications in management consulting and membership of professional bodies, he has successfully combined scholarship with practice.
His more than three years as Head of the Department of Entrepreneurship and Business Innovation at UNIDEL also provided an opportunity for him to serve, lead and contribute to the development of the university.
Today, another important chapter has opened.
As Director of the Centre for Public Policy and Development Research (CPPDR) under the Office of the Vice Chancellor, Dr. Chukwuka has assumed a responsibility that perfectly connects with his passion for research and societal development.
His vision of turning evidence into experiments, experiments into policy and policy into measurable development outcomes is particularly compelling.
It reflects a scholar who does not want research to remain trapped within the pages of journals.
He wants research to work.
He wants knowledge to solve problems.
He wants the university to engage government, industry and civil society in finding practical solutions to the challenges confronting society.
That is a worthy birthday reflection for a man whose intellectual journey is still unfolding.
Dear Dr. Chukwuka, on this special day, may you look back with gratitude for how far you have come and forward with renewed excitement for how much more remains to be accomplished.
May your pen remain productive, your intellect remain fertile, your ideas remain relevant and your influence continue to expand.
May every new year of your life bring you greater wisdom, greater opportunities to serve and greater fulfilment.
May your research continue to open doors; may your books continue to inspire readers; may your students and colleagues continue to benefit from your knowledge; and may the CPPDR become another enduring chapter in your contribution to UNIDEL and society.
Above all, may you enjoy the beautiful things that academic achievements and professional accomplishments cannot buy - good health, peace of mind, genuine friendships, family happiness, laughter and the satisfaction of knowing that your work is making a difference.
As you celebrate today, remember that the best part of your story may still be ahead.
Happy birthday, Dr. Ernest Jebolise Chukwuka.
May this new chapter be bigger, brighter and more fulfilling than the ones before it.
Keep researching. Keep writing. Keep building. Keep inspiring.
Have a truly beautiful birthday, Dr. Chukwuka!
Congratulations and many happy returns of the day.
