Today, we celebrate not just a birthday, but a remarkable woman whose impact is written in the growth, progress and transformation of the people and institution around her.
Dr. Mrs. Florence Konye Igwe, Head of the Department of Business Administration, University of Delta, Agbor, is an erudite scholar, an Amazon of uncommon intellect, a world-class researcher, a trailblazer and an astute administrator whose contributions continue to speak for her.
As an academic and administrator, Dr. Mrs. Igwe has demonstrated that leadership is not merely about occupying a position; it is about creating meaningful change. Her tenure as Head of the Department of Business Administration has been characterised by purposeful leadership, strategic thinking, innovation and a remarkable commitment to institutional development. In many ways, she has proven herself an expert in turnaround maintenance, bringing fresh energy, renewed direction and measurable transformation to the Department.
But beyond her impressive academic credentials and administrative accomplishments is a leader who genuinely cares about people. She is a result-oriented and resourceful manager who places the welfare of her staff very high on her priority list.
