The Editor of the UNIDEL Newsletter, Dr. Marian Ashikodi has celebrated veteran media personality and renowned media magnet, Dr. Ewere Okonta on the occasion of his birthday.
In a goodwill message marking the anniversary, Dr. Ashikodi described Dr. Okonta as an accomplished media professional whose contributions to journalism, communication and public discourse have continued to inspire many within and beyond the media industry.
She commended the celebrant for his commitment to excellence, professionalism and the development of not only media outfits but to the University of Delta community, noting that his influence has extended beyond his immediate professional environment.
According to Dr. Ashikodi, Dr. Okonta's career reflects a passion for impactful communication and a dedication to using the media as an instrument for enlightenment, knowledge and societal development.
She further acknowledged his ability to connect with people across different spheres, describing him as a "media magnet" whose personality and professional accomplishments have earned him admiration from colleagues, associates and members of the wider community.
The Editor expressed appreciation for Dr. Okonta's contributions over the years and prayed for continued good health, wisdom, fulfilment and greater accomplishments in the years ahead.
